Replacement Shingles on an 1860 House
Challenge
This Lebanon, CT home was built in 1860, with two additions later added. There were an incredible five layers of shingles on this roof, indicating a history of quick fixes rather than the overhaul this century old structure required. During removal, the eaves came right off and massive deterioration was uncovered.
Solution
It was apparent that the porch roof and all the eaves had to be rebuilt, and we were happy to completely renovate the underlying structure as to ensure a sturdy canopy. The results on this home were fantastic.
