Protecting Your Property
How we protect the homeowner's property during a roof replacement is the first thing that sets Klaus Roofing Systems apart. We protect the homeowner's siding, windows, landscaping, and driveways.
Old Roofing Stripped
Stripping the old roof is necessary to do the job right and have a long lasting quality result.
Examining Existing Wood Decking
Once the old roof is stripped off, we can see the condition of the roof deck. Sections of the rotted roof sheathing are replaced and existing decking is renailed with the Ring Shank Nails, a cross between a nail and a screw. These nails are higher quality and won't come out in high winds--it's the "Klaus Roofing Way!"
Only the Best for Your Roof
Our Klaus Roofing System SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane and high-performance Velora One synthetic underlayment protects the home in the harshest of conditions. We tape all plywood decking seams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape to add an extra layer of protection from water entering the home. Klaus Roofing System Drip and Rake Edge trims were installed which are heavier and 50% wider than what other contractors use. We aim todo everything better for long lasting and reliable performance.
Nails Matter
When the big storms come with driving, whipping winds, the nails are what holds the shingles to the roof. At Klaus Roofing Systems, we pay careful attention to what nails we use, how, and when. We use Ring Shank Nails, a cross between a nail and a screw. These nails are higher quality and won't come out in high winds. And we use 6 nails per shingle where the industry standard is just 4 nails-it's the Klaus Roofing Way!
Details Matter
Hips and ridges are covered with purpose-made shingles, matching the homeowner's shingle color of choice. This area of the roof is subject to lots of wind, but we get it right to protect all aspects of the home's roof! Ridge caps are made for the purpose with nail reinforcement strop and sealant in the right places. We also removed and replaced flashing on the chimney with new lead flashing. Flashing chimneys properly to prevent leaks over many years takes skill and the proper materials. Klaus Roofing Systems has you covered. The Klaus Roofing Way provides three levels of protection from water in all climates and atmospheric conditions, from thunderstorms, to snow and ice, to wind driven rain. What are roof boots? Every house has at least one pipe penetration for the plumbing vent. We replaced all old boots with Klaus Larsen Systems special heavy-duty boots that will last as long as the roof does.
New Roof with IKO Dynasty Shingles
We love how the IKO Dynasty Performance laminated shingles enhanced the appearance of this home. The homeowner chose the IKO Dynasty Shingles in the color Driftshake. The deep shadow bands and color gradations combined to create texture and visual appeal.
The Klaus Promise: 50 Year Warranty
This homeowner can enjoy and trust the beauty, quality, and performance from their new Klaus Roofing System for decades to come, especially with our 50 year warranty! This warranty is also transferrable to the next owner of the house. Knowing you can transfer the warranty adds value to your home, which helps you get the maximum return on the investment for your roof.
