Old Roofing Stripped
Stripping the old roof is necessary to do the job right and have a long lasting quality result.
Examining Existing Wood Decking
Once the old roof is stripped off, we can see the condition of the roof deck.
New Plywood Installed
The entire roof needed new plywood. We renailed with the Ring Shank Nails, a cross between a nail and a screw. These nails are higher quality and won't come out in high winds--it's the "Klaus Roofing Way!"
Polyglass Roof Membrane Installed
The low-slope roofs, we install two base layers of our polyglass roof membrane.
Aluminum Edge Metal
We also installed brown C-6 Aluminum edge metal around the outside perimeter of the low-slope section of the roof.
Roof Boots
We remove all existing vent pipe boots and replaced with our Klaus Roofing heavy-duty 4" Perma-Boots that will last as long as the roof does.
Polyglass Cap Sheet
Once we install two layers of our polyglass membrane, we install the layer of cap sheet which comes with a 20-year warranty.
Chimney Flashing
We also removed and replaced flashing on both chimneys with new lead flashing. Flashing chimneys properly to prevent leaks over many years takes skill and the proper materials. Klaus Roofing Systems has you covered. The Klaus Roofing Way provides three levels of protection from water in all climates and atmospheric conditions, from thunderstorms, to snow and ice, to wind driven rain.
