Several aspects of this Union, CT roof were starting to fail and allow moisture to cause damage to the home's interior. With proliferating, curled shingles, the underlayment was becoming exposed to the elements. It was essential that we rebuild this roof from the ground up, and reverse any harm done to the plywood.
Solution
What began as a snow covered, leaking roof, has ended with a home that will be protected by the best warranty ensured shingles in the industry. This Union, CT home was finished with 1 layer of OC True Def Duration Estate Gray shingles, which we have found to simply be the most effective, long lasting brand of architectural shingles available. For added moisture protection, we installed three rows (9') of Ice & Water shield to all eaves and 3' in all of the valleys. The ridge ventilation here is a VentSure ridge vent, also from Owens Corning.
