Roof Replacement in Waterford, CT
Challenge
When we first looked at this home in Waterford, CT it needed a complete roof replacement. This raised ranch home had some damaged plywood decking beneath the shingles and had some problems with ventilation to the attic. This roof also had issues surrounding the chimney. Because the home had beautiful landscaping and a pool we needed to put down the proper protective tarping to keep the landscaping intact.
Solution
We completely tore off the layer of existing roofing materials and replaced any damaged plywood decking. We installed three rows of Ice & Water from all of the eaves, valleys, chimneys, skylights, and roof/wall intersections to ensure that no moisture can pass through to the attic. To provide top-notch consistent attic ventilation we put in new VentSure Ridge Vents. When it comes to roofing, ventilation is one of the most important parts. In addition, we installed ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment which is a durable, tear-resistant material that is engineered to repel water and to adhere to the roofing surface. Once we replaced the flashing along the chimney, we put on new Duration shingles in the color Slatestone Gray. The homeowner will now have the peace of mind when it comes to their roof during the upcoming winter season.
