Starting The Roof Replacement
The deteriorated shingles from the front and center sections were removed, giving us full access to inspect the underlying decking for signs of rot or structural concerns. To protect the property during the process, we placed protective tarps over the siding and lawn, ensuring both were shielded from debris and damage.
Decking is Exposed
With the old shingles removed, the crew carefully examines the roof, identifying and replacing any damaged plywood boards to ensure a solid foundation for the new roofing materials.
Underlayment Applied
We applied SealoronXT Ice & Water along the roof's edges and other vulnerable areas. For the remaining surfaces, we used VeloraOne Roof Underlayment, which added an extra layer of water resistance and ensured the roof was thoroughly protected from potential leaks. The blue tape applied is SealoronXT Deck Tape, designed to securely hold the plywood boards together while allowing them to breathe. This innovative tape also creates a watertight seal, ensuring no moisture penetrates between the boards, adding an extra layer of protection to the roof's structure.
IKO Shingles Application
After the protective layers were in place, we installed new IKO shingles on the replaced sections of the roof. This not only strengthened the roof's structure but also enhanced the overall look of the property.
Final Product
This roof, which had previously been affected by leaks, now had a fresh look and strong protection. By addressing the most important areas and using top-quality materials, we provided a solution that met the building's needs and exceeded the owner's expectations. The Klaus Roofing Way!
