This small one family home in Lebanon, CT had a gable roof that was in need of a replacement due to age. To start this job, we tore off and disposed of one layer of existing roofing material. We found and replaced 5 damaged sheets of plywood roof decking, and followed this up by applying two layers of Ice & Water Barrier. For additional weather protection, a layer of Synthetic Underlayment was applied to the areas of the decking that were not covered by Ice & Water Barrier. For shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using Cambridge Architectural SHingles in the Dual Black colorway. To finish the job we installed a new vent pipe boot, chimney flashing, and exhaust vent hood. This cozy cape home was made new again thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

After heavy rain this homes roof began leaking into a closet prompting the need for a replacement.
New owners of this home in Lebanon, CT reached out to us to inspect the roof as they were experiencing leaks. The roof needed to be replaced so they chose us to install a full Klaus Larsen Roofing System. We also replaced the skylight with a brand new Velux skylight with Laminated, Low-E, "Clean, Safe, Quiet" glass with Velux factory flashing kit and solar-powered blinds. It's ideal to install brand new skylights at the same time as a new roof install as it's very difficult to re-flash an existing skylight.
To protect the home from leaking, we first replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down our Klaus Laresn Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape—it's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury. The homeowner choose the shingle color Summit Gray for their new roof.
