Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

This West Hartford house underwent several renovations, and we were enthusiastic about providing a roof to top off this home makeover project. These shingles were the perfect touch for their remodeling. 

This ranch home, in West Hartford, was experiencing issues with ice dams over the bay windows and soffits. New Owens Corning shingles have worked wonders with reinforcing and protecting this house. We also added a ridge vent and updated the interior insulation, to make this roof that much more resilient.

For this job in West Hartford, we needed to first rip off three layers of old shingles and construct a new wooden deck. This is considered a challenging roof, as it has a steep pitch, finished attic and original cedar shake. The homeowner was highly satisfied with our results. Here's what she had to say:

Built in 1976, this single-family home in West Hartford, CT received a new roof from Klaus Larsen. After installing new plywood decking, three rows of Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water shield were applied to make sure no moisture would enter the home. Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition shingles, in the color of Estate Gray, were used for the entire home. A ridge vent was installed on the right side roof above the garage. At this colonial style home located in West Hartford, CT we completely tore off the existing roof and installed a new Owens Corning roofing system. After we stripped the existing shingles and hauled them to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center in Stratford, CT we replaced 3 sheets of damaged plywood decking. To protect the interior of the home from moisture, we installed Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water shield. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration Shingles in the color Teak. To finish this roof off, we removed and replaced all of the lead chimney flashing to ensure that no water can come through the chimney to the interior of the home. This roof comes with a 50-year warranty so the homeowner can go through the rainy months ahead, worry free!
