At this 1960's colonial style home located in Willington, CT we completely tore off the existing roof and installed a new Owens Corning roofing system. After we stripped the existing shingles and hauled them to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center in Stratford, CT we replaced 4 sheets of damaged plywood decking. To protect the interior of the home from moisture, we installed Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water shield. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration Shingles in the color Desert Tan. To finish this roof off, we removed and replaced all of the lead chimney flashing to ensure that no water can come through the chimney to the interior of the home. This roof comes with a 50-year warranty so the homeowner can go through the rainy months ahead, worry free!
This cape-style home in Willington was in need of a new roof. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials, we replaced 5 sheets of damaged plywood decking and re-secured all decking as needed. We then installed two rows of ice & water barrier near all roof eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Earthtone Cedar. After installing a new ridge vent to keep consistent attic ventilation, we finished the job by removing and replacing the chimney flashing with brand new lead flashing. This small two family home's roof in Willington, CT has seen better days and was in need of a replacement. To start this project we tore away and disposed of one layer of existing asphalt roofing. We then inspected the roof's deck, where we found 5 damaged sheets of plywood decking which were then removed and replaced.
