Roof Replacement in Storrs, CT

This small single family home in Storrs, CT had a roof that was beginning to show signs of wear and decay. To solve this problem, we began this project by tearing off two layers of existing roofing materials, making sure to dispose of them properly. Upon inspection of the roof deck, 5 damaged plywood decking sheets were found and replaced promptly. Two rows of Ice & Water Barrier and a layer of Synthetic Underlayment were put in place in order to protect this home from the elements. When it came to the shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the Charcoal Grey colorway. To finish off this roof, we removed and replaced two vent pipe boots as well as the chimney flashing. This home was made anew again thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

A New Gothic Revival Style Roof in Stafford, CT

This is a stately Victorian located in Stafford, CT. We first met the owners back in 2011, when we did a full roof replacement on their Colchester home. The declining three tab shingles here needed to go, so that the top of the house could be on par with the rest of the property. Klaus Larsen installed one layer of Designer Color Summer Harvest shingles over a deck covered in ice & water shield. We also re-shingled the turret and installed new vent pipe boots. The whole job was ensured under a 50 year full coverage warranty.

Roof and Skylight Replacement in Willington, CT

This homeowner in Willington, CT was experiencing leaks in their living room area and damaged a brand new paint job. They needed to get fixed once and for all and they chose Klaus Larsen Roofing to install our full Klaus Roofing System!

To protect the home and prevent leaks in the future, we first replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape—it's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles, color chosen by the homeowner, featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury.

During the roof replacement, we also replaced two of their skylight with brand new Velux skylights with Laminated, Low-E, "Clean, Safe, Quiet" glass with Velux factory flashing kit. It's ideal to install brand new skylights at the same time as a new roof install as it's very difficult to re-flash an existing skylight. Klaus Roofing did both the roof and the skylights at the same time for this Willington, CT home, and all in one day--it's the Klaus Roofing way!
