George in Colchester, CT, had a 25-year-old roof with aging asphalt shingles and knew it was time for a change. His warm-toned roof had served its purpose for over two decades, but for the safety and protection of his home, George wisely decided that a full roof replacement was necessary. Knowing Klaus Larsen Roofing only provides the highest-quality materials and a thoroughly trained crew, George reached out to us, and we quickly got to work!
The roof replacement process began with a comprehensive roof inspection, ensuring no underlying issues were missed. Once our team confirmed the condition of the roof structure, we stripped off the old asphalt shingles to expose the plywood decking. Any rotting or damaged plywood was replaced to ensure a solid foundation for the new roof installation.
Next, we applied Ice & Water barrier protection to vulnerable areas like valleys and roof edges, crucial for preventing leaks in those high-risk spots. We then installed VeloraOne Roof Underlayment across the rest of the roof, providing an additional shield against leaks, giving George’s home superior protection from water infiltration.
After the underlayment was in place, we completed the roof with new IKO Dynasty shingles, known for their durability and stunning appearance. George chose a color that not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of his home but also provided long-term weather resistance. The shingles offer a top-tier shingle roofing system designed to withstand harsh elements, ensuring George’s home remains safe and dry for years to come.
