Now, in 2024, Rose has decided it’s time to complete the job with a replacement of the back side of her roof. Our crew got to work, carefully removing the old shingles and inspecting the underlying plywood. Any damaged or rotted boards were promptly replaced with fresh, sturdy plywood, laying the foundation for a strong and long-lasting roof. After a thorough inspection, it was clear that a full roof replacement was the best way to not only resolve the leaks but also provide long-term protection for his home. Our team got to work, carefully removing the old roofing system and ensuring the skylight areas were properly sealed to prevent future leaks. We installed SealoronXT Deck Tape to create a watertight barrier, followed by VeloraOne Roof Underlayment for extra protection against moisture. For the finishing touch, we used durable IKO Dynasty shingles, known for their strength and heavy duty. At this 1990s home located in Somers, CT we completely stripped off the existing roof and replaced it with a new roofing system. We first tore off the existing shingles and roofing material and hauled them to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center to be turned into asphalt pavement for roads.

We then replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down Ice & Water Shield to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. For even more protection,  we installed Owens Corning ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment, a durable, tear-resistant material that is engineered to repel water and adhere to the roofing surface. For new asphalt shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Driftwood. To top it off, we replaced the old chimney flashing with new lead flashing and installed a VentSure Ridge Vent to provide consistent attic ventilation to the home. 

At this large colonial home located in Somers, CT, we completely stripped and installed a brand new roofing system. Th shingles are Duration shingles in the color Brownwood. We removed and replaced the flashing around the chimney with new lead flashing. 

This single family home in Coventry, CT was experiencing leaking in their home and sought Klaus Larsen Roofing to fix the problem. We started the process by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials and replaced 20 layers of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 3 rows of Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed a stunning gray to compliment the color of the home. We finished the job by removing and installing brand new cedar rake boards. This home is now safe and secure, thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
