This colonial-style home located in Farmington, CT had water leakage behind a kitchen wall in the interior of the house. To fix this issue we stripped off the entire existing roof and replaced 10 sheets of damaged plywood decking. We then took the old roofing shingles to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center in Stratford, CT. To keep out any moisture from the outside, we laid down Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water Shield. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Onyx Black. To top it off, we installed a new VentSure Ridge Vent to provide consistent attic ventilation.
At this home located in Farmington, CT we completely replaced the old roof with a brand new Owens Corning roofing system. We first tore off the layer of existing roofing materials and replaced any damaged plywood decking. This two-story, Cape Cod home located in Farmington, CT had significant ice dam issues that developed over the upstairs bedrooms causing a small leak inside the home. To fix this problem and prevent further damage to the home we completely stripped off the existing shingles over the rear house and garage, where the problem occurred. This large colonial-style home located in Farmington, CT needed a complete roof replacement. This home had a dated roofing system that needed to be completely stripped off and replaced. We first tore off the existing shingles and brought them to the asphalt roof recycling center. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Estate Gray. To finish this roof replacement we installed new lead chimney flashing and 5 brand new skylights.
The owners of this colonial home in Farmington, CT were not experiencing any problems when they reached out to Klaus Larsen but they did note that their roof was 22 years old and it was time to replace it. After replacing all of the damaged plywood decking and replacing it with new decking, three rows of Ice & Water sheild was installed, along with a Synthetic Underlayment to repel water. A new Ridge Vent was installed for attic ventilation and a moisture barrier. A new exhaust vent hood with a built-in damper was put on the roof as well. The shingle color was chosen by the homeowners which was Onyx Black. It complemented the gray exterior of the home very well.
